According to Canada.ca, people (in general, we know if you’re on this site you’re likely one of the exceptions!) spend about 90% of their time indoors.
That is a HUGE number.
Whether you work from an external office or have been able to work from home while companies altered their in-office requirements over the past couple of years, you spend a ton of time in closed walls - most of that being within your own home.
In today’s modern world, we are spending time in surroundings that are more harmful than before, and we are being exposed to more harmful substances than ever before.
No wonder we're more stressed, tired, and sick than we ever have been.
Humans evolved while living fully immersed in nature - days were spent in the fresh air and sunshine, we ate wild caught and forged foods, we were consistently grounded, and endured plenty of exercise in the form of play, hunting and gathering, collecting water, and building our shelters.
Now, we do things like cook, clean, train, and sleep - all while being inside, and while being exposed to the indoor air quality and other harmful influences that we subject ourselves to each day.
We know that in current times, it is nearly impossible to escape all of the chemicals technology out there unless you live fully off the grid, and are self-sustainable with your food and land - but most of us still need to work our day jobs to make a living, and we know you can’t spend 100% of your time in your own space.
BUT - in saying this, there are so many ways to make the space you spend the most time in the best it can be.
Simple changes in your routine and your products will support health and longevity, and can help clear your mind and body so you can live a happier, more enhanced life.
